Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach, Inc. is a Christian, non-profit organization founded in 1997. Our desire is to see that babies born from unplanned pregnancies are raised in loving, nurturing homes – never to suffer the harm of abuse or neglect. We know that can happen well in both biological families and adoptive families. We serve children through our three programs that work with the adults in their lives:
Pregnancy Support Services:
At APO, we want women to choose life for their babies and make sound parenting decisions. We feel that if we are going to encourage a woman to carry her baby to term, we should also provide any means necessary to help her through her difficult times. This is why support services for birthparents are the heart of APO.
The Mama Club
The Mama Club program was added in 2006 as a mentoring / support program for teen parents. More often than not, pregnant teenagers choose parenting over adoption, yet their children face the highest risks for abuse and neglect. APO partners with Young Life of the Brazos Valley to bring The Mama Club (and Real Men for young dads) every week during the school year. learn more…
Adoption Services
Our adoption program exists because of our pregnancy support program. We see our adoptive families as a resource for those women facing unplanned pregnancies who want their child to have a married mom and dad; parents who are ready and have been eagerly waiting to embrace a child. Our waiting-to-adopt families have a love for Jesus Christ and base their lives on Biblical principles. When it comes to adoption, we believe that children are honored in open adoption relationships.
