Serving as the Executive Director of Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach is both a privilege and a calling. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University and have spent more than 26 years serving individuals and families through social work and nonprofit ministry. My journey with APO began in 2005, writing adoptive family home studies, and over the years has grown through a variety of roles including community outreach, pregnancy counseling, adoption counseling and directing our teen outreach program before stepping into executive leadership.
Throughout my career, I have pursued extensive training in trauma, attachment, mental health, and the lifelong impact of adoption on children, adoptees, and their biological and adoptive families. While education has been invaluable, it has been my own journey as a wife, mother, and adoptive parent that has shaped me most. Raising our six children—each with their own unique strengths and challenges, including learning differences, attachment struggles, and mental health needs—has deepened my compassion, strengthened my faith, and taught me the importance of extending grace, patience, and unwavering support.
These personal and professional experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the complexities of family relationships, identity, and healing. They have also reinforced my belief that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and cared for with dignity and compassion. My desire is to lead with both conviction and empathy, creating an environment where clients, staff, volunteers, and families feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and supported.
At the heart of everything I do is a desire to serve others and reflect the love of Christ. My husband, Bryan, and I have been married for more than 25 years and are blessed with six children and two wonderful granddaughters, who continually remind us of the immeasurable value of every life. It is a privilege to lead a ministry that walks alongside women, men, and families with compassion, hope, and practical support, sharing the love of Christ and reminding every person who walks through our doors that they are never alone.
