What Is Ally’s Place?

Ally’s Place is APO’s free maternity housing program, built specifically for pregnant students. To qualify, you need to be 18 or older and enrolled at a college, university, or trade school. You must maintain your enrollment while you’re there.

The program includes:

  • Free housing with staff support 24/7
  • Free, on-site licensed childcare
  • A private room for you and your baby
  • A caseworker and counselor to help you build a plan
  • Comprehensive health care and community resources
  • Free parenting classes
  • Up to three years of housing, or until your child turns three or you complete your degree

Every service is completely free. You can read more details about the program here and see if you’re eligible to apply.

You Don’t Have to Choose Between Your Baby and Your Education

One of the biggest fears for pregnant students is that continuing the pregnancy means leaving school. Ally’s Place is structured around the opposite idea. The goal is for you to finish your degree and maintain your independence, while building a stable foundation for yourself and your child.

Your caseworker helps you connect with resources so you’re not navigating finances, housing, and prenatal care alone while also keeping up with coursework.
