Volunteer
Our volunteers make so much of what we do at Aggieland Pregnancy Outreach possible. Whether you can serve weekly, monthly, or occasionally, there are many ways to use your time and talents to support the moms, dads, and children we serve. We are incredibly grateful for the people who choose to serve alongside us!
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Baby Steps Childcare (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings)
- Mama Club Childcare (Tuesday evenings)
- Mama Club Welcome Team (Tuesday evenings)
- Reception and Office Support
- Cottage and Donation Organization (sorting, organizing, seasonal reset and special projects)
- Special Events and Event Childcare
- Baby Steps Meal Provider
- Mama Club Meal Provider
- Guest Speaker (Baby Steps or Mama Club)
- Mama Club Mentor Mom (Tuesday evenings)
- Real Men Mentor Dad (Tuesday evenings)

*Some volunteer roles have additional screening and training requirements based on the level of client or child contact. These may include a background check, fingerprinting, mandatory reporting training, additional program-specific training, and other requirements established by APO. Our Volunteer Coordinator will walk you through the requirements for your chosen role.
WHEN WE WELCOME NEW VOLUNTEERS
To provide a consistent experience for our volunteers and the families we serve, APO primarily welcomes and trains new volunteers twice each year.
Fall Onboarding: Begins in July and is generally completed by late August/early September.
Spring Onboarding: Begins in November and is generally completed by late December/early January.
Occasionally, needs arise outside these periods, so you are always welcome to submit an interest form. If we are not currently onboarding for your area of interest, we can reconnect with you for the next onboarding period.
COMMITMENT:
Our volunteers are an important part of the relationships and consistency we provide for the families we serve. We offer a variety of long-term, seasonal, short-term, occasional, and one-time opportunities.
For volunteers serving in an ongoing role, such as Mama Club, Baby Steps, reception, mentoring, or another regularly scheduled program, we encourage you to consider a commitment of at least one year whenever possible.

Financial Donations
Your financial gifts allow us to provide free services to pregnant women, their partners, and teen parents. Make a one-time gift or become an Impact Maker and give monthly.
Impact Makers provide sustainable resources and consistent support for the clients we serve. Together, we foster meaningful relationships, bring stability in moments of crisis, and offer lasting hope to families in our community. Your dependable partnership allows APO to plan intentionally, steward resources wisely, and build a strong foundation to care for every client with excellence.

Material Donations
Every woman and family deserves a fresh start when expecting or raising a child. Caring for children can be expensive, so we provide practical items to help our clients meet everyday needs and feel supported during this season.
If you wish to donate material items, please see our current needs below:
- Diapers: We are currently running low on size 7 diapers and are emergently low on all Pull-Up sizes (2T/3T, 3T/4T, 4T/5T, and 5T/6T)
- Clothing: New and gently used clothing, sizes 0–5T
- Baby wipes
- Baby, children and adult hygiene items
A few important notes we often get asked about:
- For safety reasons, we only accept car seats that are new in the box.
- We want the absolute best for our clients, so please do not pass along items that are heavily used, stained, or damaged.
- These items are available to clients through our on-site baby and children’s boutique, The Cottage, and can also be earned through participation in our educational programs.
- For your convenience, we keep our Amazon Wish List up to date with the items most needed for our clients. Items may also be shipped directly to APO.
We are deeply grateful for every gift—and so is each young parent we serve.
